KR504 | WINTERGEN 2 SUV

KR504 WINTERGEN 2 SUV, the new SUV Winter pattern developed by European engineers is especially designed for continental European winter conditions. The directional tread pattern provides an optimized wet grip and offers exemplary traction on snow and ice. The extension to the KR501 WINTERGEN 2 – the KENDA passenger car pattern, offers impressive handling capabilities with a smooth and comfortable ride on all surfaces. Its newly designed snow grooves guarantee superb snow traction, whereas the four lateral grooves maximize the water evacuation.

Benefits

  • European development
  • High cornering stability
  • Superb water evacuation to avoid aquaplaning
  • Maximized winter performance

KENDA Tire Technology

New winter compound with improved stiffness to maximize Wet and Snow grip.

Directional arrow tread pattern
with optimized V-shape channel for both an excellent Snow Traction and Braking by trapping snow into voids and increase shear forces for better Snow grip.

Jagged edges of shoulder grooves
increase longitudinal shear forces on snow thanks to the higher snow compression trapped into the void for a better braking and acceleration and they increase lateral grip on both Snow and Ice Handling thanks scratching mechanism on snow/ice surface.

Continuous Center rib design
provides higher longitudinal block stiffness and higher rubber contact area to improve Steering feel and effort on both Dry and Wet surfaces.

Longitudinal grooves in the center
optimized in terms of dimension and position in order to improve water drainage for maximized overall Wet performances.

3-D sipes increase snow grip
without compromising dry road handling and Braking due to limited block deformation comes from 3D sipe shape interlock.
